About Torrey View

Torrey View is a quiet gated community in the Torrey Hills region of San Diego, California. Residents are close to stores, parks, schools, stores, restaurants, and services.

Torrey View was built in 1997 to 1998 by Shea Homes. There are 121 units that offer three to five bedrooms and living space that ranges from 2,145 to 3,142 square feet. There is a Mello Roos tax and a Home Owners Association fee that covers the common area maintenance.

Several school districts serve this neighborhood with highly ranked facilities like Torrey Hills Elementary School, Carmel Valley Middle School, and Torrey Pines High School. There are hundreds of private institutions like the Calvary Christian Academy, Escondido Adventists Academy, the Montessori American School, and Halstrom Academy. Public universities include the University of California (UCSD) and San Diego State University (SDSU) as well as the San Diego Community College District.

Parks nearby include Carmel Creek Park, Carmel Knolls Park, and Carmel del Mar Park. Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is popular with hikers because of its 2,000 acres of wilderness and protected land. The freeway will take you to the Palacio del Mar Golf Course and the Grand Golf Course which features a Tom Fazio designed course, lodging, and a gourmet restaurant in a Mediterranean-style resort. And close to the beach is the Torrey Pines Golf Course.

San Diego is California’s second largest city and the nation’s eighth. Its economy relies on tourism, manufacturing, international trade, and military defense related activities. This city is known for the San Diego Zoo as well as museums like the San Diego Air & Space Museum.
